    - Mickey Syrotiak
    Practice Manager

    Mickey began working with animals in 2016 as a multi-species animal care attendant with a special interest in avians and avian training. Since then, he has been working in the veterinary field as a Technician, Client Service Representative, and Manager. He joined the Veterinary Wellness team in 2020. Outside of work, he enjoys living with 5 dogs, Anakin, Achilles, Xena, Bella, and Azula, and a cat named Trout. He also enjoys reading, collecting, gaming, and exploring nature. Mickey is a Certified Veterinary Business Leader, Fear Free Certified, and Certified in Feline/Canine CPR and First Aid.

    - Lynn Acquarulo
    Accounts Payable Manager

    Lynn worked as a receptionist at Central Hospital while she was in high school and while pursuing a degree in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University. She assisted with our bookkeeping and office management for several years before leaving to raise a family. Lynn returned full-time to Central in 2007 as our accounts payable manager and is very active in the overall management of our practice. Lynn came to work with the Wellness Center as well as Central when we opened in 2013 and has been a life saver for us.

    - Christy Lucas, BS, CVT
    Veterinary Technician Supervisor

    Christy began working with animals in 2008, first as a kennel attendant, then training as a technician assisting the veterinarians in exams, surgeries, and providing client education. She completed an Animal Care Internship at the Beardsley Zoo in 2010 and graduated from the University of New haven with a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2013. Later that year, Christy joined us here at the Wellness Center.

    Christy lives in West Haven with her husband, Anthony, their son Anthony, and their German Shepherd/ Rottweiler mix, Grizzly. She also has an older cat named Tiger who lives with her parents. Christy has a life long love of combat sports and has practiced them for over twelve years. In 2022, Christy received her Certified Veterinary Technician license.

    - Jackie Rodriguez
    Surgery Supervisor

    Jackie has been in the veterinary field since 2013. She loves the fast-paced environment of being a technician and the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals, but their owners as well. She is a fierce animal advocate and treats every patient as her own pet. Jackie became our Surgery Supervisor in 2022. Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her dogs, named Ellie and Cookie.

    - Madison Solis, CVT
    Veterinary Technician (CVT)

    Madison began her career working with animals in January of 2020. By June of 2020, Madison graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute in Pittsburg, PA as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). She has a special interest in feline patients, but enjoys working with all pets! She joined the Veterinary Wellness Center team in 2023. Outside of work, Madison enjoys reading and painting. She owns 3 beautiful cats named Mickey, Briar Rose, and Venus, as well as 2 Guinea Pigs named Timon and Pumba.

    - Valerie Corso
    Veterinary Technician

    Valerie has been an animal advocate all her life. She began her career with animals in 2014. She started as an animal caretaker for numerous types of critters, including dogs, cats, birds, small animals, fish, reptiles, and even insects! She also has a lot of experience with native Connecticut wildlife for rehabilitation purposes under the supervision of license rehabilitators! She joined our Veterinary Wellness Center team in 2021. At home, Valerie has 3 dogs, Ziggy, Baby Bear, and Benji. She also has numerous feline friends, hamsters, a tortoise, and a bird named Sinatra!

    - Jennifer Jimenez
    Veterinary Technician

    Jenn began working with animals in 2015 as a mixed-animal kennel attendant, and spent many years as a shift lead for a dog daycare. In 2020, she was hired as a Veterinary Receptionist at a mixed-animal clinic, working with clients to meet all their pets needs. In 2021, she was hired at a specialty and emergency veterinary clinic as an ER Technician. She joined the Vet Wellness team in January of 2022. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys hiking, reading, and visiting family in NYC. She has two dogs, a Yorkie named Myloh and a Sheltie named Jameson, as well as a cat named Oliver.

    Veterinary Technician

    Sarah has been working with animals since 2017, and she is extremely passionate about what she does! She began as a Veterinary Receptionist, and quickly moved into the role of Veterinary Technician and Surgical Technician. Sarah joined our team in 2022. She has two loving dogs, Shylah and Pongo, and a cat named Willard. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, Maevry.

    Veterinary Technician

    Sydney began working with animals in 2014 by providing regular pet-sitting services. She also spent a lot of time volunteering at a local Rabbit Rescue. Sydney graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Laboratory Research. She began working in the Veterinary field in 2021 as a Veterinary Receptionist and joined the Veterinary Wellness Center team in 2023 as a Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, Sydney enjoys taking painting classes and attending her favorite concerts.

    Technician Assistant

    Legend began working with animals in 2020 as a multi-species animal care attendant at a local Doggy Daycare! There, she learned animal behavior and built relationships with many pets and clients. In 2022, Legend decided to join our Veterinary Team as a Technician Assistant. Outside of work, Legend enjoys traveling and spending time with her goofy Husky, Blu.

    - Marina Salicki
    Client Services Supervisor

    Marina has been working with animals since she was 16 years old. She started out as a Kennel Attendant, mainly taking care of young puppies and kittens. Since then, she has expanded her knowledge and experience with animals, and has a special interest in reptiles. Outside of work, Marina enjoys exploring New England’s landscape and has an affinity for horticulture. She has a snake named Sanjay, a rabbit named Rhubarb, and a Keeshond named Amira. She also has a host of insects and aquatic creatures that she loves to take care of.

    Veterinary Receptionist

    Milan has been working with animals since 2018. She has always been a welcoming face for clients as a Veterinary Receptionist. Milan moved to Atlanta, Georgia briefly, but decided to return to New England life, she missed it! Milan joined the Veterinary Wellness Center team in 2021. Outside of work, she owns a Golden Retriever named Piper, who she adores. For fun, Milan loves to read, spend time with her family, and catch up on her favorite television shows!

    Veterinary Receptionist

    Heidi’s passion for animals started at a very young age. Her very 1st job was volunteering at an animal hospital when she was 16. She has been working with animals for over 30 years. Since then, Heidi has worked at many hospitals throughout her career, honing her skills as a Kennel Assistant, Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Receptionist, Supervisor, and Veterinary Office and Practice Manager. Heidi joined our team in 2024 and is proud of her role as a Veterinary Receptionist at the Veterinary Wellness Center of New Haven. Outside of work, Heidi is active in Pitbull Rescue and shares her home with her 2 rescued pity’s, Scooby and Cassie, and her orange cat Butters. She also loves to cook and bake for her husband, Frank, and their family.

    Veterinary Receptionist

    Mary Ann started her career in the veterinary field in 1989 as a kennel attendant at New Haven Central Hospital. Through the years, she has assisted veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and is always a friendly face ready to greet clients and patients as they arrive. Mary Ann currently lives in Branford with her son Tyler and daughter Beth. They share their home with their dog, Jay Jay and their new kitten, Kitton. In her free time, she enjoys crafts and scrapbooking.
