Christine received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 1997. She has been a clinician at the New Haven Central Hospital since 2006 and then joined the Veterinary Wellness Center team when we opened in June 2012.
Dr Crocker has 2 dogs. Eve is a silky terrier and Jane is a miniature American Shepard. She also has a cat named Emelyn.
Dr Crocker's hobbies include a multitude of dog sports. Eve competes in agility and barn hunting, as well as lure coursing and is a TDI registered therapy dog. Jane has just started her agility career, herding, and passed her canine good citizen courses as well as her novice trick dog tests.
Morgan grew up in Prince Edward Island, Canada and recieved his BSc and DVM degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College. He worked for a mixed animal practice for 4 years caring for dog and cats as well as farm animals. Four years of delivering calves and fouls in the cold Canadian winter was rewarding but he decided to move to the US with his family to do strictly small animals in 2000. He works with the New Haven Central Hospital as well as the Veterinary Wellness Center doing both surgical and medical duties.
When not doing veterinary work, Dr MacKay loves to spend time with his kids and participating in all of their activities. He enjoys many outdoor activities where he can involve his dog, Fisher.
Lisa grew up in Prince Edward Island, Canada where she obtained her Biology degree before attending veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College. After graduation, she moved with her husband and small son to Connecticut. She has worked at the New Haven Central Hospital for 11 years and now also with the Veterinary Wellness Center. She is a member or the AVMA, CVMA, and is accredited in the state of CT.
She has 4 children; Isaac, Elly, Aiden, and Claire. Her 4 legged friends at home are Fisher, a black labrador, Bill and Simon, 2 friendly cats and a leopard gecko named Reeko.
She divides her spare time between her kid's busy schedules and tries to fit in time to see her friends, play tennis, and do some traveling as well.
Dr. Andrew Pickerstein
Dr Pickerstein specializes in geriatric medicine, dermatology, preventative medicine, and chronic diseases. A Connecticut native, Dr Pickerstein graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Prior to joining the Veterinary Wellness Center of New Haven, he worked at several veterinary hospitals across Connecticut developing strong relationships with the veterinary community. Dr. Pickerstein currently splits his time between Old Greenwich and New Haven with his partner Moira, 3 children Isaac, Jade, and Skye, his dogs Rex and Avon, and cats Brady and Nemo.
Dr. Nicole Kennedy
Dr. Nicole Kennedy graduated with honors from University of Rhode Island,where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences.
Dr Kennedy graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr Kennedy, has a strong interest in emergency medicine and has been actively practicing in emergency since graduation. She is a resident of Woodbridge, CT where she lives with her husband, J.J., her twins Hailey and Lucas, and her 4 legged child Zoey, a 9 year old black Shepard mix.
When She is not working, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, taking family trips and being outside and exploring New England. Dr Kennedy is now working part time with the Wellness Center.
Dr. Haley Olsen is an independent contracting veterinarian who is working with our team to provide veterinary relief services to allow us to best serve our patients even on days when our regular veterinarians may not be available. Dr. Olsen graduated Summa Cum Laude receiving her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia in 2016.
After graduation, Dr. Olsen moved to Gainesville, Florida where she worked at two local canine and feline general practices for the last four years. Dr.Olsen recently moved to Connecticut in June of this year with her husband, Greg, and their fluffy tuxedo cat, Eva, for Greg to pursue a fellowship program at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Olsen and her family are enjoying their time in Connecticut so far and Dr. Olsen is enjoying the opportunity to experience new opportunities in veterinary medicine through her relief work.
In her free time, Dr. Olsen enjoys yoga, hiking (now that she lives somewhere with mountains), photography, exploring her new home in Connecticut, and spending time with her husband, Greg, and fluffy best friend, Eva.
